HIGHWAY 43 – EUROPEAN IMPERIALISM & AFRICA
The French in Northern Africa:
Where did it start? The truth is, when did it ever end? We have to go back to the beginning when Man started trading for power: the story of the Greeks and their Alexander, the Romans and the Carthaginian wars. It is the classic story of uneven trade with no balance, and it was all about deception with the intent to rule.
But in my Grandparents’ world, it began here at this point in time. France desired to have some form of Empire to perpetuate the belief that their nation was a boss amongst Man. They were trying to control the North African lands of the Mediterranean, but how do you rule people of the desert? This community of People who did not care about urban lifestyles could only be controlled with magic.
Just as a side story to help lighten up the atmosphere of hate and controlling man orders, here are the games people play to show you who is superior to whom. Here is an example of the lengths the French went to prove their superiority using magic.
In 1856, the French Government hired Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin, the country’s number one magician, to enlighten the Algerian rulers, as France was intent on keeping its control over this land. The local rulers of Algeria had to be taught who was number one because they wanted to remove the French from their lands. The sheiks and the local shaman were invited to the French-sponsored gathering to show the supernatural powers of Houdin, and therefore, by connection, to imply the strength of the other French men.
At the end of Houdin’s ceremony, Houdin carried a small chest into the room and placed it on the ground and asked the strongest of Algeria’s men to lift it. Houdin requested of his Algerian audience to put forth any who could pick up the chest. There was a well-known muscleman who knew to appear as a prop for this Houdin stunt. The Big Man was unaware of what the stunt was to be. The man of muscle came forward as set up to do so. He tried and he tried, and when he gave it his last heave, he fell to the Earth, trembling violently, and reportedly he ran away in fear. The chest was not moved.
After the successful affair to humiliate the Algerians and ultimately prove France’s uncanny strength and power as a race, Houdin was left alone in the tent to pack up his rock and roll show. To remove the chest, he first disconnected the powerful electromagnet hidden under a floorboard. Then, with the chest in hand, he disconnected the little generator that triggered the electric shocks. Oh, the French thought, how easy it was to fool the dumb men of Africa.
The French kept their control of this land and its communities of nomads and moors until the Germans took it in the African wars of World War II. The French got it back for ending up on the Allies’ side when the US and the British returned the control of the land to the French. The French kept it until the Algerians forced their freedom on the French in the early part of the 1960s.
The European Grab Bag for the Interior of Africa:
By the end of the 1860s, Africa was a region that had heavy European influences, but control as part of the colonies of old Euro man did in other lands was a difficult venture. The area that was controlled by the seafaring men of Portuguese descent were the communities on the southern Atlantic and Indian Ocean coasts, which we now call Angola and Mozambique. This land the Pope originally authorized the theft, or gave the Portuguese the right to control back in the 1400s, because they claimed their Christ gave the Pope the right to divide up the world for the Catholic conquistadors of the sea.
In 1870, the French had Algeria, which then included most of what we now know as North Africa. The British were trying to figure out how to really take over and run Egypt and the trade of cotton and the trade from the Suez Canal. The British also had the Cape Colony of the southern point of this continent.
In 1870, the interior of Africa below the Sahara Desert region was not part of the Sadducee European world. It was, however, where the slave trade thrived. Yes, it was here where fellow black Africans captured their family’s excess living humans, made them slaves that they then took to the coast and sold to the white slave traders of England, Portugal, Holland and sometimes even Spain.
By 1870, the white world and the consciousness of white man were changing. Slave trading as a proper Christian business was being outlawed. Slave ownership in the Western Hemisphere was also being outlawed. The old commerce reason to go to Africa was now disappearing. Then the commercial business of the Industrial Revolution hit home in the minds of the greedy European lands.
White Man had invented steam navigation, the railways and then the telegraph. The items man would need to attack and take over the interior. Medical advancements from the scientific arena of the industrial revolution of thought helped white man live and kill others in the regions that initially hosted diseases unknown to white man’s DNA immune system. This disease factor really stopped white man’s earlier invasion of the interior of Africa.
The winning discovery was quinine, the gift to the Catholics and their latest killing order, the Jesuits, from the Peruvians and Bolivian Quechua Indians back in the 1500s. Quinine was then synthesized in the laboratories in the late 1800s, but it was extracted originally from the bark of the cinchona tree in the Andes Mountains. The Indians used this drug to relax the muscles. This muscle relaxer was switched over to erase the pain of the attack of the fleas since the 1600s in Europe.
The bark of the tree helped the Church combat their malaria, which their god Christ was unable to protect even his representatives from succumbing to. Yes, even Popes were dying from Malaria.
An interesting thought to share is: how did the Indians know to use the bark to make this or any other of the medicinal potions from Earth’s plants and leaves? Who taught them, these ignorant and savage beasts, as the Catholics described the inhabitants of the South American lands? This South American mountain range and the Amazon River basin region also changed our world with crops, textiles and metals. People of other lands were not as ignorant as we supposed.
So, as I just described, transportation was available to explore and conquer the interior of Africa and medicine existed to protect from the African diseases new to the white man’s physical bodies. The control of the land by Euro man was put into play. The European race to destroy Africa and its people, as well as land, was on.
White Man’s Invasion of Black Africa — The Nation Players of this Game in the 1870s
Germany:
Germany and its Military ruling leader, Bismarck, understood his new nation needed to be industrialized to compete with his only perceived European rival, the British, and their industrial trading Empire. Bismarck isolated the French with two treaties, the one with the Austrian-Hungarian Empire called the Dual Alliance and then the Triple Alliance with Italy and the Austrian-Hungarian Empire in 1882. These treaties helped drive the French into the loving, protecting arms of the British merchant navy. War with Germany was in the air again and the French needed this security.
Bismarck, now a Euro World Thug, knew too that the British ruled because of their ability to move and deploy the troops, as well as the ability to control the seas. This he figured he could combat too, but he misunderstood that the North Sea was not a port to have a ruling navy of the world. Germany would learn this truth in losing both of their world wars of the 20th Century. Remember, the bully never wins and Germany playing bully as a nation never won a war.
But why not try, and Bismarck did by creating the first merchant-funded arms race of our world. Both he and the British got their guns and ships built through finance. This was the coming economic depression breaker mentality of gearing up for and having war. War with industrial manmade toys became the missing link to keeping an economy in line, as well as keeping the people of a nation focused on the nation’s right to exist and control.
Bismarck then convened the Berlin Conference of 1884-85, where he became the leader of the movement. The force behind these White Euro lands that would use their guns and steel, as well as other killing Euro toys, to steal the natural resources of those who lived and worked the land of the interior of Africa the continent. Imperialistic death machines were the merchants of the lands, all seeking to be the top dog of the world of wealth, and justified by the Protestant faith in their Christ and confirmed by science with Darwin’s new accepted theories as living proof of who is meant to rule Earth.
At this Berlin Conference, the African Continent was divided up into regions for White European man to attack and gain control by setting up their own rules for the order. The Africans were forced to accept the so-decreed rules made by the new killing forces; these rules were mandatory, and if you didn’t bow down in fear to the white man and his religion, then you would be killed by the newest and best human killing machine.
Why was there a need for a Berlin conference of Euro man? Well, the need existed because of the clash of the rival Euro imperialists.
The Posturing of the European Rivals:
Belgium & Its King’s Private Enterprise: the Congo
Belgium now appears for the first time in our story of rules, order & control. Belgium was made up of good Catholic men and an enduring King of fortune and killing fame, Leopold II of Belgium.
The King went into the center of the continent with his industrial-made killing machines and pretended to advocate humanitarianism by denouncing slavery at the top of his lungs. He wished for all to hear, but not for them to see what he was really doing there. He was using his vocal magic to say one thing and do another. He created the Congo Free State that he owned as a side business and that his Belgium army protected for his personal profit. But free for who and what community of fellow man? Surely not the blacks that lived there on that land.
Here is what this great Catholic humanitarian, King of the people of Belgium, did to others then living in central Africa from 1885 until 1908:
The Congo Free State was a government privately controlled by Leopold II. The King owned the land privately. He was following the footsteps of the English Kings, the Stuarts and their colonizing crews of the 17th centuries.
Leopold was the personification of greed as the story of his deeds leaked out and became public knowledge in the first decade of the 20th century. This story actually embarrassed the nation.
Belgium as a nation apparently did not know what their good Christian king was up to in his private business. Everyone knows business is about profits. But what is a justified profit? Ah, this is the question of man. Who should gain? Me and we, as opposed to them, and not us?
Man needs to understand that we are all in this together.
King Leopold ran his company seeking profits for he, and not even for the land he ruled, Belgium. How he sought to gain his profit was by carving up the country as if those who lived on the land were nothing but human clones, really chattel without heart and soul, as if they were just machines of man in physical form. Why, you ask? Because they were thought of as inferior to the white man. Leopold made his deals with the still-existing black African slave traders of the Congo tribes, cut his deals and created the business that was nothing but plunder.
Back then the media and telegraphs were new, not yet owned by the profit-seeking sensationalistic corporations and Banksters of today, and those reporters of that day got the uncensored word out to at least the intellects in the most industrialized, evolved merchant lands.
The writers, such as Mark Twain or Arthur Conan Doyle, wrote of the atrocities of this dictatorship, business rule.
The news stories got read by the good, God-fearing Christians of these lands and people got sick. Those in control of the King and his land, the people who lived on his Belgium land, said to their King that they would now take control of this business colony and fix the scene.
The Parliament of Belgium annexed the Congo Free State and took over its administration in 1908. However, financially, this takeover was no major loss to Leopold II and his trading partners, as rubber, the god of this plant land, was now being manufactured at a lower cost in Southeast Asia and South America. The British played a huge role in the move to other regions of rubber.
The desire for the commercial control of rubber would get the US into the Vietnam War of my youth. Everything is connected. Remember that. There is no beginning of Man’s greed and ownership, there is only continuation. It’s a circle that is part of our nature that needs to be understood and funneled into more appropriate uses. We need to stop this behavior that leads to destruction and learn the real rule, that we are one. We should not close our eyes to the manmade atrocities in our world. We need to examine wrongs and correct that behavior.
How did Leopold gain control of this African land?
Well, first he told the British that he would not do as the Portuguese did in building a slave trade, which the British more than took part in too. But these bitter memories seemed to become erased from the British consciousness. It served Leopold no purpose to remind the British that they too were partners in this human abuse.
Leopold promised to take away the African natives’ need to sell their young and unwanted human relatives. He then told the British merchant houses that his control of the Congo was needed so he could create a merchant land that would have no tariffs and no restrictions. The British were promised a most favored nation status of trade with the Congo region.
To cement his need and desire to own his claim, Leopold went to Bismarck and promised that the Germans too would have equal trading access to the goods taken from this land. The British and the Germans agreed, as it was cost efficient; let the weaker land, Belgium, spend their dime, even if it was only the King personally claiming ownership. The British and the Germans knew that when the property was developed they would flex their bigger bank muscle and just take it over.
Leopold then hired the explorer Stanley to negotiate deals with the ruling African tribal leaders and slave traders of the region. Leopold turned the slave trades into a labor organization. Yes, the slave-trading Africans now became the slave labor suppliers of Africans of this land. Labor they had plenty of and, as my good friend Cameroon saxophone player Manu Dibango would teach me many years later, the Africans believe in instant reincarnation.
The logic then became the following: If you suffer then and there and are killed, poof, you are now someplace better than where you just were. This was how the Africans justified their killing and removal of the excess humans living and no longer needed to perpetuate the ruling and controlling order of the few tribal leaders. Brutal, but that is their truth, a truth that is hard for others to accept. But remember, it is their truth and that truth gets them to do what they do. A man’s Truth is a man’s currency.
Leopold was in the market called Africa for profit. He was killing the plants and vegetation of this land as well as the animals. He allowed elephants to be shot so a market for ivory would be his to control.
An interesting note is he never stepped a foot onto his private Earth playground, as he was afraid of Blacks. But boy, did he let his army rule, and they ruled with no humanity.
The lifestyle of the ruling private business merchant army of Leopold was interesting. Here is an example of the ruling Belgium Business Man living in the Belgium King’s set called the Congo. The blacks were spoken to only while they were on all fours, when the King’s representative Captain Leon Rom needed to be heard. This was done in his private mansion where others would come and listen to his stories.
Those on all fours were addressed as stupid beasts. The worst of the stupid beasts got to stay on after physical death as the top of a stake with other black African heads so held high. This was the entrance to his home, so those who came to be wined and dined knew what lovely Christian attitudes of law & order were adhered to in this home. To show you that the rules of order were adhered to by all, a noose swaying in a manmade breeze was at the entrance to the captain’s home.
Leopold got his control of the land, but lost his access to the Atlantic sea when the Portuguese, reeling from their loss of exclusive trade of the Congo land, went and made a deal with the British to block the Free Congo from having access to the ocean. The British were nothing but merchants and had absolutely no loyalty except to profit. They made deals with anyone and everyone regardless of the conflicting nature of each deal. They had their Queen of death-defying rules of control and they lived to steal all they could in her and her Banksters’ names.
To stop the Congo from having access to the ocean by land, the Portuguese were able to deliver a competing tribe of Africans who lived on the land needed to connect Congo with the sea. This meant the Portuguese and their British protectors were able to get their share of the monies from the Belgium King for the goods to be allowed to reach the coast.
The Berlin Conference:
This conference was called to order by the new ruling German nation-state order that acted as the arbiter. They listened to competing National claims for the territory to the African continent. This was convenient for the nations who attended, so they figured let’s play out this hand and see where we go from here.
This would be one of the first Sadducee merchant conventions of different government officials acting for the interest of their businessmen, still believing in the fiction that the business was done for the betterment of the people living in each nation-state. In our world of today, business has no boundaries and could care less what happens to their old home team nation. Business today is for personal profit like the King Leopold of Belgium practiced.
Unfortunately, we as a race cannot understand that when this organization of greed and avarice called business corporation gets into trouble in different national states, it is not the job of the home team government to go to war and have its people killed to protect the profits of an illusionary organization that will kill off man in the end: business will kill off man unless we re-enter reality and stop our nonsense. We all are so numb and dumb that we allow our nations to become fascist, by allowing our government to protect and support business before it protects and supports the people of the nation, let alone the people of our living world. This is what we do by allowing this one-way support system to continue, and we the people are paying for it, but where is our return?
My thoughts are each land should administer their own business that goes on in their home territory. When business visits other lands, the originating nation must give way to the new host nation’s rules. If business does not like the new rules, then do not go into those foreign-ruled lands. This I will elaborate in detail later in this book. But war to protect personal business in foreign lands must end immediately.
If you cannot get the resources at the right price, invent a new resource that works. We can do this and we need to do this again. We are an intelligent race that through necessity we create innovation. We as a people need to stop succumbing to the greed and benefit of a few just because we are too lazy to grow. We need to wake up to the real pain it has caused. And without the further pain and inconvenience it will take to correct this despotic behavior of our banks and corporations fueled by greed, there will be no gain to us as a civilization.
Competing Claims to the Tribes & Lands of Africa:
France was claiming ownership of Algeria and now occupied Tunisia as well as Guinea by 1884. This move helped Italy sign the Triple Alliance agreement with Germany, as Italy believed they had special status from their Roman Empire days to win back these North African lands.
The same year as France went into Tunisia, the British controlled the ruler of Egypt, who also ruled over the Sudan and parts of Somalia, and the British were hell bent on keeping their influence in and over these lands. This was the waterway up from their own slave-ruled India, the jewel of their British Empire.
Germany then had its feet inside Togoland, Cameroon and Southwest Africa. They were now desirous to show the world that they, the German nation, were the force of continental Europe, a force that one must now reckon with for the maintenance of any form of peace.
The conference resolved the issue of the Congo and Egypt in favor of the Belgium King owning the land as his private company and the British maintaining their sphere of influence over the Egyptian state. The Egyptian state was not a recognized nation, as it was still part of the Ottoman Turkish Empire.
The convention believed that an educated or more evolved Christ, be he the Catholic or the Protestant version, was watching over their shoulder and this convention condemned slavery as a practice. To really show they cared, they also prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages and firearms in certain regions and expressed major concerns over the activities of the missionaries who were risking life and limb to get the natives to convert to Christianity.
These Christian European leaders even went so far as to create the set of rules of competition for the land that each must follow before one could declare ownership of a colony. Rule one, no claims can be staked without notifying the others in the convention of your intent to so take the land. Rule two, before you do this you must be on location, occupying the land you so seek to claim.
Needless to say, this conference may have been preached, but the rules of the order were not adhered to by those who said they would follow the rules by signing their agreement to do so at this convention. They lied for a change. Many a small argument developed between the competing Sadducee and Pharisee rules of Euro communities and the balanced ruling lands order of the nation-states who were both trying to gain the upper hand to African trade and control the resources and the people.
I could go on and on, but I will not, as the point I want to drive home is how we believe what we need to hear so we can take control and rule others with the law we enforce with weapons and with God on their side. The story of Man and man’s will to control others for profit of material in the herein now.
This African continent land grab helped set up the next European conflict, the War of the World, World War One. This war would decide which National order would control. The Sadducee traders of Britain and French fame or the Germans and their philosophical ruling German race of Pharisee superior Aryan order who were desirous to have the rest of Europe as well as the world to serve their superior race.
1898 Africa Post-Berlin Conference: The Creation of Winston Churchill
At this time there was a young man named Winston Churchill who so believed in the Sky God and Sky God’s Queen, his Queen Victoria. In his youth, he thought Victoria must rule the world. He felt the Queen was the figurehead of proper WASP law & order, and the only government Earth should have at its rule was the British Empire.
This boy Winston, growing to be a man, was ready to take his place as one of the ruling Pharisee gentlemen who so ruled Great Britain and her Empire. He needed seasoning and to get this he went to view African war as a press correspondent, for he had connections. He was writing to his home folk about the rigors of war down in the savage lands of Africa and the Nile. He was near Khartoum, where the battle of Omdurman was soon to take place.
The British had just averted war with France by getting the French to agree that this Nile and the corridor of Africa from Cairo to Capetown was theirs and theirs alone to rule. The British gave the French the OK for them to rule West Africa and the Congo River bastion. This set up the basis for the French and British alliance in the coming World War as sharing the land to control trade for their respective Sadducee leaders.
The conquest of this region by the British armies was important; otherwise the goal of exclusive British control from the north to south would be interrupted. Sudan, as we know the region now, including Darfur, was the final goal as it was the missing piece to win this game of order & control. To those in London and reading their Paperlate (evening edition), they were told that the Queen was civilizing the world so British trade could continue. They conveniently would forget that some British citizens were actually hungry at home, and concentrate on winning this and other foreign battles, so as to become the Empire of Earth.
Churchill wrote about the bombardment of the city of Omdurman, and stated that “a large number of unfortunate non-combatants were killed or wounded.” Today our government calls this collateral damage.
Churchill went on to state, “the most significant triumph ever gained by the arms of science over barbarians was down in Africa. Within the space of five hours, the strongest and best savage army yet assembled against a modern European Power was destroyed and dispersed.” In the box score of this English sport of controlling the savage beasts, the civilized British troops only suffered a loss of two percent. The other team, the savages, they had a loss of ninety percent, not including the citizen collateral damages killed or wounded.
Churchill is one of my favorite characters from my grandparents’ and parents’ generation. His resolve and his personal force was what kept Britain alive when Hitler was intent on leading his troops of a superior race into control of the European continent. This story goes to show how impressionable the young are. Would he have written this pose then, as the leader of Britain during World War II? Who knows, although I think he would have. He believed in the Pharisee order & rule of Britain.
A Sadducee King of the British Empire: Cecil Rhodes
What were the British fighting the savages for? Was it for the country or for the representatives of the country and their personal businesses?
For the lives of the soldiers were only worth a soldier’s pension — disposable.
The surviving soldiers got to go home heroes and could work for businesses they had kept in gold and silver and jewels from their theft of minerals from African lands. Yes, Britain, you killed because you were seduced into believing that the rulers would share their booty. Only pirates shared their booty amongst their killing team. No, the British killing soldiers did it for country and Queen.
Back then no one could believe business would become our Pharisee rulers of today: banks and their corporations. For today, this rotten lot are a lot bigger than a nation, but back then they were growing and in need of a nation and protection by the nation’s army. They seduced the nation to kill and destroy so the nation could win, but the business Sadducees could care less about winning, as their win was to administer the profits from the conflict.
Prime example was Mr. Cecil Rhodes. What were his goals? If he could, he would have annexed the other planets to become a part of the British Empire. He believed in his superiority and he believed if he shared his boast, not his booty, with the British as a group, then they would continue to kill for his end profit. He said, “We are the first race in the world. The more of the world we inhabit the better it is for the human race.”
His philosophy was grand; he was using the word we. However, actions speak louder than words. He spoke to journalists so they would report back home to his countrymen the score of the winning team. There was no professional sport at this time other than your warring team that went off for the glory of Country and Queen, but for profit of the team owner, here Mr. Rhodes himself. Mimicking our sport teams today. They take your city’s name and give you the tax, but they make and keep all the profits trading on the fame and image of your city for their own personal gain. This theft should change too.
The team owner, Mr. Rhodes, went on to say that, “We (the British) must obtain new lands” and our goals should be to “find new markets for the production of our factories and mines. Empires, I have always said, is a matter of the stomach.”
Stomach? Yes, but can you stomach what this ruler of the British Empire did for his own enjoyment? He would toss coins into a pool of water, and then he would have his black vessels (Britain had no slavery in the 1890s, but he did) jump into the water and get the coins with their teeth. Oh, how sporting this ruling man was.
But that was his personal sport. His mental control of the Pharisees of the land got him, this patriotic millionaire, to get the British to expand the map of their empire. This expansion was done by killing blacks that were in the way of his train from South to North Africa. He called this theft: “Natural Rights.” If other stealing whites were in his way, in accordance with the Berlin conference he would announce his intentions to take back the land. The land always belongs to the strong, when the strong wished to have it back. He removed the Boers in South Africa from colonial competition, and he created the first concentration camps to house these uprooted white folks. He even had an African country named Rhodesia after him. Rhodes was an English conquistador who acted without the Church’s aid.
Rhodes also created the Rhodes scholarship. This scholarship was the tool to perpetuate the rule of Rhodes and his now Pharisaic rules and order for control. Each Sadducee knows his rule is based on flavor, and like any ice cream, the current flavor melts and a new one will come in. So a Sadducee to survive must become a ruling order in black and white, not emotions of greed and avarice of the moment. Thus, a new Pharisee order was born.
But the Sadducee Rhodes knew that no matter what the coming black and white government ruling order was, if the nation wanted to industrialize, then that nation would need worldwide accepted currency. The Sadducee was now setting up the new world order of support for the coming killing governmental orders of the 21st Century. So, the creation of the brainwashing Bankster was now the program of the Rhodes fellowship. The WASP and its traveling currency ruling order.
